The break up of an aging bureaucrat, the downfall of a macho goalie, a girl's difficult choice between lust and love... Drama/Mex follows the pains and joys of three intense human relationships that come together one night in contemporary Acapulco. A once luxurious port, now slowly decaying, the city serves as a background for stories about a suicidal old man and a 15-year-old runaway girl, a young couple who face the hardships of separation after a tragic break-up, and the thief who broke them up. We glimpse fragments of a single night that will change their lives forever – and our perception of them. (Karlovy Vary International Film Festival)
