English Gary Cooper, George Raft, 1937... could anything go wrong? Unfortunately, sometimes yes. Someone in the costume room neglected to give Coop a period costume and had him running around in civilian clothes even in the 1940s. That was the first stumbling block. And then it went downhill, and the result was a complete lack of interest. That’s too bad. ()
