English I can't help it, but I have only positive feelings associated with this movie. Yes, I like Gerard, there's nothing that can be done about it, but this comedy seemed funny to me, the chemistry between the characters was absolutely great. I know that this review is maybe a little exaggerated, but I had a great time watching it and that's the main thing I expected from the movie. For this reason, I give it a high rating, because I even remember this romantic comedy quite well, which is also not always the case. ()

English Katherine shines and Gerard enjoys every juicy line, but the whole studio plot, stupid supporting characters, and actually even the spicy commentary on truth felt like a betrayal compared to what I expected from the trailers, and I had to do my best not to write off the movie at that time. The paradox is that when it slows down, innuendos disappear and romance reaches top speed, I completely melted and thanks to the actors' dramatic talent, I thoroughly enjoyed the last half hour. However, due to higher expectations and striking unevenness of individual scenes, disappointment prevails. ()

English This was a good comedy as long as it was about the ugly truth. The moment the film turned into a sappy romance, it lost its appeal to me. If I weren't mentally prepared for such an ending it would have spoiled my impression of the whole film. Luckily, I managed to keep calm and carry on. I enjoyed Gerard Butler, I didn't mind Katherine Heigl this time, although I really can't stand that brutally fake smile of hers. The shattering of ideals was excellent. There's nothing like a good clash with harsh reality. Anyway, despite the fiasco in the final quarter, I'm giving it a 4*-. ()

English I felt like I was on a roller coaster. Excellent and funny scenes alternate with truly weird and kitsch moments. Even so, I have mainly positive impressions from watching The Ugly Truth. Someone who bears great responsibility for that is Gerard Butler who led the movie to a satisfying conclusion, despite his strange, but predictable character development. On closer consideration, I was forced to reduce the stars to just 2. ()
