Walt Disney Pictures resurrects one of their time-honored franchises with Race to Witch Mountain, a family-oriented sci-fi adventure that tells the story of two alien visitors (AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig) whose search for their spacecraft gets them caught up in an adventure with a cab driver (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) and a UFO specialist (Carla Gugino). As the group races toward the mysterious mountain in the Nevada desert that has mystified scientists and paranormal researchers for years, the government, gangsters, and an extraterrestrial bounty hunter attempt to prevent them from reaching their intended destination. A good fairy tale where The Rock does more yapping than punching people. The visual effects are mediocre, but the kids will love this film. 60%

It sounds unbelievable, but The Rock has a talent for comedy, some of his lines are delectable. Unfortunately, the film itself is somehow off from beginning to end. The same goes for the technical aspect, which is quite a major mistake for the 21st century. There is nothing here that would captivate you, and so, there’s not much to be entertained by, you will be hopelessly bored even during the opening credits.
