New York City is a stunning backdrop for this story of a successful, gorgeous, and outwardly perfect married couple confronting the turbulence of temptation. Joanna (Academy Award® nominee Keira Knightley) and Michael Reed (Sam Worthington) are seven years into a loyal and healthy marriage, both balancing challenging but rewarding careers, and enjoying what the city has to offer. One night when the Reeds attend a company party, Joanna witnesses an exchange of glances between her husband and a sexy colleague, Laura (the smart and seductive Eva Mendes), whom Michael never mentioned before. Suspicion mounts when Michael heads out on a business trip with the attractive co-worker in tow. As Joanna begins to doubt Michael's intentions, she finds herself facing her own temptation when her ex-lover Alex (the handsome Guillaume Canet) resurfaces. (Tribeca Film)

English A four-sided relationship film about love, trust, passion and unfaithfulness, precisely and sensitively depicted, and with excellent acting performances. The music by Clint Mansell is genius. If this topic is close to your heart, you’re in for some emotional gutting. ()

English Living dialogues with every word, a timeless plot and quietly penetrating through the bushes of each of our pasts. Massy Tadjelin perfectly cast her debut and gave me a new Closer. Something will happen tonight, something won't, and something might change forever. And a new, uncompromising, and above all, intimately personal conversation is born. I haven't felt the cold and heat of love so strongly in a long time. ()

English An upsetting movie. I think my paranoia has kicked in again. The cast is excellent, the wonderfully stiff Sam Worthington and the ravishing Keira (I’m glad she’s coming back to life) come across authentically, almost like a real married couple a few years on - empty words that mean nothing or just the presence of the other half? Promenades around New York give the romantic storyline a wonderful tinge, as does Mansell’s faultless music. ()

English Dialogues, emotions, feelings – that’s life. A brilliant small, purely conversational film. The last moment is superb, capturing and telling everything in five seconds. ()
