A biographical film where you follow the fate of a boy who rises from an orphan to someone important. But all of that is actually secondary because the crucial element in his life is love, and it's only up to him and fate whether he manages to find his love, but more importantly, whether he manages to keep it. A good film, but I'm not really a fan of these time-spanning historical romantic dramas.
