When the Carne House Secondary School for Girls closes for the holidays, schoolteacher Marian and her colleague Doris decide to vacation on the Yorkshire moors - the same area where Marian's friend Evelyn mysteriously vanished a year earlier. While taking a shortcut on foot to their destination, a violent storm kicks up and the two women are forced to seek shelter in the home of composer-pianist Stephen Deremid, a recluse suffering from the shell shock he experienced fighting in the Spanish Civil War. Marian soon develops an attraction towards Stephen...but she also starts to suspect that he might have had something to do with Evelyn's disappearance. (ClassicFlix)

English The British production The Night Has Eyes is definitely not as psycho as it might initially seem, although there were moments considered to be real horror in their day. The movie appears mellow now without any sort of fundamentally oppressive atmosphere. However, I think that the acting performances can grab you and hold your attention. I think you are going to watch The Night Has Eyes all the way to the end. ()
