Five teens take to the sky in a small airplane, and encounter a supernatural force beyond human comprehension after a mysterious function sends them climbing to impossible heights, and straight into the heart of a massive storm. Their radio fried and their controls unreadable, the frightened flyers soon realize that something unspeakable is lurking in the clouds, and it's determined to snatch them right out of thin air. Awful disappointment. That’s what you get when creators promise a Lovecraftian octopus but instead only deliver a bunch of insufferable kids. Monsters also failed to fulfil its promise, but at least it had an atmosphere and you could pay attention to the “alternative” elements of that monster film. Altitude has nothing other than a stupidly funny climax that arrives so late that it doesn’t even make you laugh, and with the last of your strength you turn the film off and go into a coma. Avoid this, really.
