English This fairy-tale is quite a psychedelic experience. I recommend watching this film under the influence of psychotropic substances, and if you do not have any, booze will suffice. But there must be a lot of it. And it should preferably be pure alcohol. If you don’t do this, you’re in for an ordeal from which there is no way back. ()

English An ambitious family film that didn't find an audience. The film unfortunately has problems with the co-production, dubbing, and the work with the child actor. ()

English It's good to see that we are still able (albeit with international cooperation) to make a film that can be watched by young and old alike. But beware - just because we are capable, doesn't mean we have quite succeeded in the case of The Blue Tiger. It's watchable, thanks mainly to the sensationally playful technical aspect and the excellent child actors (and I'm dead serious), but it would have been even better if it weren't for the rather confusing script, which turns the playful fantasy into an uninteresting mess over time. I can only imagine what Macourek, Vorlíček or Lipský would do with a blue tiger turning the whole city into a jungle... ()

English Czech film, which had quite ambitious goals. It's no wonder, the combination of live-action and animated film is an interesting piece and I think in this case, it is the only thing that truly succeeded. It's incredible how far Czech fairy tale or family films have come in the last twenty years. What is currently considered the pride of Czech cinematography represents rather the opposite. The worst part is that even the classics of the genre can no longer do anything, as the film "Saxána and the Book of Magic" proved to us. Czech fairy tales are losing their lightness and beauty and they are rather films that are indebted to the times, which sounds terrible, but also to consumerism. We have to make fairy tales that could also captivate beyond our borders, where it seems they have very bad taste. We want to approach American production, but we don't realize that American production has a great tradition of fairy tales only in the animated form.
