The Con Artist

Vince has just been released from jail after serving a sentence for robbery. Hardly out, he is reminded by his previous boss Kranski of an outstanding favour and is left with no other choice but to return to Kranski and thus to a world of crime. At night, he creates metal sculptures, a hobby he learned in jail. His creativity brings him together with the art dealer Belinda, who recognises Vince’s potential. Vince does not exactly feel comfortable being a star of the art world but recognises a chance to free himself from the jaws of the gang leader. He begins dreaming of a rosy future when Kranski comes sniffing round – Vince, however, has had enough and forges a plan. (Zurich Film Festival)
