Plots(1)
Widmark is an adventurer and writer who is sought out by reporter Greer. She goes to Mexico hoping to do a story on why Widmark stopped writing, and when she does find him they fall in love. They hop on a plane, which crashes in the Mexican jungles. The couple meet up with two strange men, Howard and Van Eyck, and Widmark discovers that Van Eyck is a wanted Nazi war criminal and Howard a British traitor. With their true identities known, the two subject Greer and Widmark to a deadly game of cat-and-mouse. Widmark uses his knowledge of the jungle and survival to turn the tables on the two men. This was an initial effort for the Russ-Field production company, and the first film in three years for the lovely Greer. The film includes two songs, "Taco" and "Triste Ranchero" (Frederick Steiner, Nestor Amaral). (official distributor synopsis)
