Plots(1)

Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis) are best friends who have a lot in common, including the fact that they have each been married for many years. But when the two men begin to show signs of restlessness at home, their wives (Jenna Fischer, Christina Applegate) take a bold approach to revitalizing their individual marriages: granting them a “hall pass,” one week of freedom to do whatever they want... no questions asked. At first, it sounds like a dream come true for Rick and Fred. But it isn’t long before they discover that their expectations of the single life - and themselves - are completely, and hilariously, out of sync with reality. (official distributor synopsis)

English Average, typical Farrelly comedy that doesn't offend and is also quite entertaining. A couple of decent lines had me laughing quite a bit. The scene on the golf course had me crying with laughter. Oddly enough, I enjoyed the female cast the most. Owen Wilson is getting a little creepy. The script is one big cliché, but it's still a funny diversion. 3.5 stars. ()

English Quite an interesting idea. What happens when you give a model husband a week off? He can do whatever he wants. Well, honestly, I would see this as a really harsh psychological drama, but it's clear that a comedy can also be made out of it. The Farrelly brothers attempted this. Their humor, which is sometimes quite rough, quite appeals to me, but suddenly here you have the feeling that you have to wait quite a long time for those jokes, and when they finally come, it's nothing great. The moralizing of this movie is really terrible. You expect it from Sandler, but here... I really didn't enjoy this. ()
