Because Lena Bergström is secretly in love with her boss, Johan Borg, she quits her job. She is a highly respectable girl and Johan is married. Johan, however, plans to divorce his wife and marry Lena. His wife has just had an abortion and is forced to confess this to him, as she is being blackmailed.
