"Vamps" is primarily a comedy, there is no horror atmosphere here, it's just that it's a comedy with some rougher elements that are typical for horror. Even in that case, it doesn't go too far. If you like movies where you won't be bored that much and you will be influenced by the beauty of nostalgia, this is something for you. I'm not thrilled, but the film still managed to draw me in and entertain me. ()
Amy Heckerling is a tremendously laid-back person. Or rather, her films, no matter what they are about, are sweet, funny, relaxing, and not lacking in humility towards the film medium, and the main characters are often casually sexy. You should expect nothing more from Vamps than a pleasant hour and a half alongside Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter. If you're a fan of the vampire sub-genre, you'll also appreciate the many jokes and your brain won’t overheat. ()
