Newspaper journalist Joe Miller (Ben Lyon) has been promising his boss a major story on immigrant smuggling for years, but thus far has been unable to gather enough proof. Miller finally gets his chance when he catches Julie (Claudette Colbert), the daughter of a sea-captain that he suspects is involved in smuggling, skinny-dipping. The best way Joe can figure to extract information from Julie is to date her, but he quickly finds that she's intensely loyal to her father. When Miller catches the seafarer red-handed, it seems that his prayers are answered. But before he can share the explosive story with his editor, Miller makes a stunning revelation: he's in love with Julie. Torn between duty and love, what will Joe ultimately choose - his career or Julie? (Echo Bridge Entertainment)
