This breakout horror comedy centers around a fallen soldier who somehow finds he has joined the ranks of the living dead. Bart Gregory (Anders) has just recently been laid to rest - so why is he still up and walking around? The only way he can keep himself from diminishing to dust is to supply himself with a constant supply of fresh blood. He quickly decides to do law enforcement a favor by cleaning up the streets. The American movie The Revenant is entertaining, although it also contains deep social commentary, which is what I liked about this horror comedy. It is not an original idea, although the concept is not bad at all and has a point. The decision to include a few action-oriented scenes makes it interesting, contrary to what the running time would suggest. Although The Revenant is not a unique cinematic experience, it is good enough.
