Starring Joan Fontaine in her final major film role, The Witches comes from the pen of the legendary Nigel Kneale. It tells the tale of schoolteacher Gwen Mayfield, who, whilst in Africa, suffers a breakdown after falling victim to a rebellion led by witch-doctors.
