English I saw the Japanese version first, both series, I liked it. Then I watched the Korean version and liked it even more. If they switched the heroines from those two versions, I'd be completely satisfied. I haven't read the manga, so I don't know which version comes closest. This version is very drawn out, so drawn out that I really didn't enjoy a lot of the "side characters". It might work on paper, but it didn't work for me here. I was interested in the main couple (all told, the dumbest couple of all the versions). There's quite a difference in the details and "non-details" – the main character lives with her mom and uncle as an only child. The main character is not immediately friends with the other three boys. And so on. His mom is such a bitch who wants the best for her kids, she has a loving husband... I think the biggest bitch was the one in the Japanese version, so she had to try harder there, because when two people love each other, really love each other and go through everything like those two do, it's not easy to break them up; here his mom didn't have to try that hard... which also kind of ticks you off – or rather, displeases you. The music doesn't impress – not for me. I had a mediocre, sometimes below-average time, and that's where I got my rating from. I think if you've seen the Japanese or Korean version (better yet, both), you don't even need to watch this one. I wouldn't have if I hadn't been curious :-) There's a second season coming up, so I'm quite curious to see what they'll cram in, so out of curiosity I'll probably watch that one with one eye closed, but I'm not expecting anything groundbreaking. Maybe I'll be surprised. ()
