Nightclub singer Carole Lombard marries wealthy Gene Raymond, unaware that her new husband is a good-for-nothing living off of his father's riches. Continually preaching the importance of working for a living, Lombard finally forces Raymond to work when she convinces the father to cut off his son's allowance. When Raymond starts to spend more time at the race track than at his desk, Lombard leaves him in frustration. Finally coming to terms with his life, Raymond changes his prestigious name and takes on a demanding new job. Lombard's nightclub owner pal forces a meeting between the estranged couple and Lombard accepts her "new" man. (official distributor synopsis)
