Hattori is a manga illustrator and creator of the Yellow Kid, a street boy turned invincible boxer. Shiro Tamura is an orphan incapable of finding a job; he lives in a hovel with his grandmother and the two scrape by on her pension. On reading Hattori's manga, he seems to find a direction in life: to train as a boxer. (San Sebastian International Film Festival)
