Reindeerspotting - Escape From Santaland

Rovaniemi in Northern Finland: this is where Father Christmas reads the letters of children from around the world. But 19-year-old Jani prefers to get his own presents through burglaries and thefts, and thus finances his addiction to Subutex, a synthetic opiate. Drug addicts in France receive Subutex free of charge to help wean them off heroin; in Finland, they buy the substance on the black market, ending up, like Jani, on heroin. (Zurich Film Festival)
