Plots(1)

Set in contemporary Seoul, the film of three parts follows and eventually unites the stateless lives of two young men living on the margins of society, one geographically and the other psychologically misplaced. Jun, an illegal immigrant from North Korea works at a gas station, constantly fearing deportation. Defending his female colleague, he gets fired and has to run away. Elsewhere in Seoul, Hyeon is a lonely kept boy, suffocating in the luxurious, sterile apartment in which he has been installed by his lover, a married businessman who visits at his leisure. When Jun and Hyeon, having met on the Internet, finally come together in the film's shocking climax, their encounter is dreamlike and disturbing. (Febiofest)
