The year is 2009. The world has been struck by the financial meltdown. But Nick Mathur (John Abraham) and Jerry Patel (Akhsay Kumar) dont feel a thing in their comfortable pad in London. Nick and Jerry stop smiling the day Nicks company decides to downsize and unceremoniously fires him. Jerry is informed by the Social Services that his nephew Veer, whose local guardian Jerry is will be placed in a foster home unless he gets a steady job. The film Dostana meets Fashion and we are all happy. If expectations are different, then of course the film cannot help you. John and Akshay are an irresistible duo of brainy men driven by a crisis to a career as male escorts. The reasons are pragmatic, but the impacts are unfortunately negative. However, it wouldn't be entertaining contemporary Bollywood if things didn’t turn out well in the end. I'm slowly starting to like Deepika too, who I didn't like much before. But I'm always satisfied beforehand when Anupam and Sanjay perform their supporting characters exactly in the spirit of their acting categories. Sometimes, certainty is important. And there was also plenty of Indian pride. I no longer have the slightest doubt why Akshay has been ruling their hearts for so many years.
