English A Bollywood movie that professes its love for Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton? That’s something I couldn't miss out on. Or, Ranbir Kapoor is on a sure path to a Filmfare award, but which, unfortunately, went to Ileana D'Cruz instead of Priyanka Chopra, which is less understandable. Even as the undeniable perfection of Barfi the sad-faced clown is another milestone in young Ranbir's filmography, Priyanka Chopra's autistic character is, against all odds, the one around whom the whole world revolves. No one would look for a sexy woman with Miss India/Miss World curves in Jhilmil. Yet those big round eyes reflect so much emotion, so much love and fragility and vulnerability that acting elites on every continent could only dream of. Ileana, meanwhile, has only gone through her Bollywood baptism as the beautiful other woman in the back. It's been a long time since I've felt so good when the best of the East and West met. So please, develop more classic slapstick in *ollywood. In addition, if we notice the 1970s in which the film is set, a parallel with Ohm Peace Ohm is suggested and we can be even more amused by the police bureaucracy. ()
