English The Carrie Diaries is a piece of work that doesn't understand itself. In theory, it takes place just 12-14 years before Sex and the City, and the main attraction of its 2nd season is a young Sam Jones. But it only works if we forget about an adult version. We follow the supposedly cool stories of mid-80s kids as they transition from high school to college, but they're all so out of character that it hurts. Kim Cattrall has let it be known that she's done playing Sam and doesn't care what happens to the character... High school dramas simply have completely different rules than provocative adult series. Unfortunately, the final was also disappointing. ()
