A young Englishman recently released from prison recruits his three best friends to help him rob the local drug kingpin who is responsible for his incarceration. Can he get revenge and win back his fed-up girlfriend? Battered, bruised and under arrest, Harvey Miller sits in a police interview room facing interrogation. Clutching a stack of eyewitness statements, Detective Inspector West has no doubt in Harvey's part in a foiled robbery, and his subsequent attempted murder of local businessman Steven Roper. Denying everything, Harvey agrees to tell his version of events in full. We take in his release from prison a month earlier, and the malevolent, unjust act that put him in there. We see his emotional reunion with his sibling-like best friends, and the immovable loyalty they have for one another. We see the rekindling of a lost love, a second chance for two people meant for each other. We see the ingenious planning of the ill-fated robbery, the amazing twist, the shocking outcome and the real driving force behind it - retribution. What unfolds is an exhilarating, moving and hilarious story of loyalty, jealousy, friendship, revenge and the pursuit of happiness. (official distributor synopsis)

English If you know the Misfits TV show and you like London inner-city slang, you will be happy about this movie as well. Not only are there a few actors from the show, but even the story is pretty rough, which is something you can deduce from the movie title itself. Don’t expect a biographical film about Barbies, but rather a tough, uncompromising and poorly handled break-in, which starts out as a fairly simple story of tough boys on the outskirts of an American city, all complemented by the modern-day electronic music. The result is pretty good, but it’s not really worth a re-watch. ()

English And yet another British crime, which again features a familiar actor in its storyline. This time it's Timothy Spall, who looks quite normal here. Well, it's not about him, primarily it's about a group of young men, whose leader wants to avenge the time he had to spend in jail. The creators play with storytelling in an interesting way, jumping between the present and the past, but thanks to the colorful execution, it is quite easy to follow. The flashbacks are visually distinct. Towards the end, it becomes quite a good ride, but when it comes to the script, we can't really talk about a completely perfect plot. The whole thing is a bit... overdone? Yes, that would be the most fitting adjective. ()
