Richard (Pierce Brosnan) and Kate (Emma Thompson) may no longer be married, but they still quarrel like a couple who have spent their entire lives together. Meanwhile, their once-secure future comes crashing down all around them when scheming French CEO Vincent Kruger defrauds Richard's investment firm, and steals his pension fund. Indignant after learning that Kruger has just purchased a $10 million diamond for his fiancée, Kate proposes that they nick the rock, enlisting their former neighbors Jerry and Penelope -- who long to see their favorite couple reunited -- to help them pull off the elaborate heist in the scenic French Riviera.
