The Shunning's Danielle Panabaker stars as Shae, a naive college student, who reaches breaking point after being dumped by her boyfriend then raped by a casual pick-up... She is easily drawn to the dynamic Lu (Nicole LaLiberte) who suggests it's payback time. What ensues is a nightmarish killing spree - sparing no males they encounter. Quick, emotionless, brutal...! But their adrenaline fuelled friendship soon shifts into a dangerous obsession as Shae struggles to escape from their perverse game and Lu's seductive control over her. (Gryphon Entertainment)

English The American movie Girls Against Boys could have almost been a kind of exploitation revenge movie, although at the same time a drama about how women have to be strong and fight back when necessary. I do not think it works on any level, and I found watching Girls Against Boys an ordeal, to be honest. ()

English Normally, I would give it the mandatory “two stars for the craftsmanship”, but that would be too much, and this one is probably the most stupid and primitive rape-revenge exploitation film I’ve ever had the misfortune to see. Shae is a good young girl who’s dating and older guy. He leaves her because he wants to get back together with his wife. Shae is upset. She befriends an emancipated redhead, they go together to a party and leave with three young men. On the way home, one of them rapes her, and now the girls embark or a “rightful” journey of revenge where they will murder any random member of the male gender that has offended them in any way – maybe he looked at them lustfully. And that’s it. There isn’t even a hint of self-reflection, and the climax is ridiculous. I can’t recommend it to anyone, well, maybe to girls in Gender Studies. ()
