Leviathan

Leaviathan is a hallucinating journey into the atmospheres, textures and rythms aboard a fishing boat. Filmed with with minuscule cameras, attached to people, objects and fish, Leviathan manages to build a subjective tale, ex-centric and vagrant, that sorrounds the ordinary taks of fishing wiht an extraordinary atmosphere. Through the usage of high contrast and extraordiary sound design, the movie invites us to feel the water, the wind, what fishes and shellfish are made of, the salt in the water, the vertigo in the waves. The camera, attached to unusual places, evokes the view point of the fish, the birds, and of the objects, creating a terrorific and phantasmagorical tale about beauty and sea fury. (Interior XIII)
