A great hero, weaker visual effects (so on the level of Game of Thrones) and a story that slightly deviates from the book, especially in the second half, thanks to all the neon and drugs. Kinnaman is awesome. A promising start.

The main character might not have been as disoriented as John Spartan upon waking up, but he still amused me. The Swedish lead was great, and it was nice to see James Purefoy in another of his signature roles. The premise doesn’t seem too original, so I’m hoping the concept of life-transfer chips will add a unique twist.
