Plots(1)

An old woman finds a box of old photographs on which she recognizes none of the faces except her own. A mysterious person named Bird Woman is hired in order to find a particular animal that looks like a monkey. These are the starting points for the film’s mosaic-like story, in which 16mm color footage alternates with black-and-white archival materials, and narration alternates with written text. Partially autobiography, partially a fantasy-like story, it examines the relationship between memory and myth. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
