Frozen

While it's more of a feel-good musical than a children's story full of plot and classical themes, Disney hasn't done this well with a similarly-tuned fairy tale in a long time. Regardless, it's really something to watch, the animation is perfect, the story is suspenseful, the characters are adorable to beautiful (the girls are really good) and the humour is just the right kind to suit any pompous critic with an icicle up their ass. And the music, which usually bothers me elsewhere, was really charming and good this time. The best animated flick of the year, that’s very clear... 80% (01/31/2014)

In my opinion, it was a bit better than the much-praised Tangled four years ago, but there were a few things I found lacking in Frozen (unfortunately, even Olaf the snowman, who would have been funny only if he had been dubbed by Josef Alois Náhlovský, since he was so similar to him), and a few things were missing, and so it's not getting a full rating. Anyway, I liked the impressive Nordic atmosphere, the one plot twist I really didn't expect, the subtle humor, the music, the sweetly morbid romance kept at bay and Sven the reindeer. (09/27/2014)

I’m not claiming that animated films for kids should be supported by a logically bulletproof story, but bugger me, if I’m already squeezing such a complicated plot, I would make damn sure that it makes sense at least within its basic framework, but in Frozen I said WTF way too often. Yet I won’t deny that I had some solid popcorn fun. Officially, only three stars for the film, the fourth is for “Let It Go” :-) (01/19/2014)

A cute fairy tale and probably a well-deserved Oscar. There are too many songs for my taste, but the central one is very cool. Visually, the film is great, there is a typical twist and a pretty emotional finale, so definitely above average, although I am not the target audience and there could have been more humour... 75% (10/31/2018)

The 53rd Disney Feature Film After years of avoiding the whole Frozen phenomenon, I finally have to admit that as a Disney film, this is an enjoyable watch. The main theme is about the power of the sisterly bond, which is refreshing. The two main characters are interestingly written, and the new concept of female characters who are independent is overall a nice touch. The stylization into Andersen's Scandinavia is also successful. I'm curious about the new direction of Disney's world. New cartoons really don't have to be just for girls and boys, because it's a win if the whole family has fun. (06/06/2019)
