English Sienkiewicz's latest adaptation is somewhere on the edge between classical pomposity and ordinary television drama. It closed the first century with Quo Vadis (the first version appeared in 1902). Now, on the shoulders of the very decent performances of the popular actors Bogusław Linda, Franciszek Pieczka, and the beautiful Agnieszka Wagner, it is possible to recall once again the story of Nero, who is one of the most popular representatives of the Hellenic world. Famous moments such as the recognition of the fish and the sacrifice of the Christians in the arena should always be remembered for their timelessness. But unfortunately, it is the performances of Paweł Deląg and others like him that disappoint, giving the film a lower rating. ()
