Lucifer is the story of the original fallen angel. Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar has resigned his throne and retired to the City of Angels, where he owns an upscale piano bar called Lux. Lucifer is enjoying his retirement and indulging in a few of his favorite things—wine, women, song—when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of Lux.

For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him. He's not sure whether it's his suppressed desire to punish the wicked or something deeper and more confusing—is he actually capable of feelings for a human being? The very thought disturbs him—as well as his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen (aka Maze), a fierce demon in the form of beautiful young woman.

The murder attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Dancer, who finds herself both repulsed and fascinated by Lucifer. As they work together to solve the pop star's murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe's inherent goodness. Used to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, he begins to wonder if there's hope yet.

At the same time, God's emissary, the angel Amenadiel, has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to Hell. But with the City of Angels at his feet and a newfound purpose, Lucifer's having too much fun to go back now. (Warner Bros. Home Entertainment)

The Angel of San Bernardino (2018) (S03E20)

English The idea of rental families definitely intrigued me, it clearly has a future. I enjoyed Mazikeen's effort to return to her original workplace as well as Charlotte's departure from asceticism, and eventually I had the feeling again that the series is returning to what worked for me. ()

Anything Pierce Can Do I Can Do Better (2018) (S03E21)

English Ungh... No, not like this, please. I have a big problem with the twenty-first episode because the Lucifer-Chloe-Pierce triangle strongly reminds me of soap opera plots. The humor is disappearing into unknown territory, and some cheap romantic drama takes over. I hope this was just a one-time occurrence. ()

All Hands on Decker (2018) (S03E22)

English So if the previous episode reminded me of a soap opera, this one just emphasized it. The season has completely changed, the relaxed humor and lightness have disappeared, instead the creators started indulging in silly and twisted relationship dramas and for unknown reasons they try to play with emotions. Bad. 2* ()

Quintessential Deckerstar (2018) (S03E23)

English The creators returned to the series after two tragic interruptions, which I liked, and convinced me that maybe not everyone had undergone a lobotomy. It's just a shame that they decided to remove the character that provided the most entertainment lately. We'll see how they will continue to do. ()

A Devil of My World (2018) (S03E24)

English The final episode was clearly five-star, but the creators decided to clog the functioning gears with a bucket of pathos, and because I can't stand playing on emotions in a straightforward manner, I couldn't rate it more than four pieces. I didn't understand why episodes 21 and 22 were so desperately bad when the next two turned out very decently. ()

Boo Normal (2018) (S03E25)

English The twenty-fifth episode of the third season was a very boring affair and I couldn't figure out why anyone even bothered to make it. It was actually just a bonus episode focused on Ella Lopez, but it wasn't funny or otherwise interesting, and I didn't understand why the actress playing the angel of death had the appearance of a child with Down syndrome. I also don't exactly look like a hunk, but I am aware of that and I'm not planning on playing the role of Adonis. ()

Once Upon a Time (2018) (S03E26)

English The creators wrapped it up very nicely. I understand that during filming they still thought the series was ending, but they could have tried harder. The episode set in an alternative reality was actually about nothing, I had nothing to laugh at, I couldn't relax because I was upset about what I was watching, so it was just a waste of time. ()

Season 4 (2019) (S04)

English I must admit that Netflix rarely disappoints me, but season 4 of Lucifer was unfortunately a step in the wrong direction. The relaxing and hilarious series turned into a dull story about relationships, going around every issue in circles because otherwise there would be nothing left to shoot next time. When I heard last year that the third season was going to be the last, I wasn’t happy. But it might not have been such a bad idea after all. ()

Everything's Okay (2019) (S04E01)

English I was looking forward to the next episode of the series, so there should be at least a four-star rating here, but the first episode didn't impress me too much. I have written several times before that I see Lucifer as purely relaxing entertainment, where I can laugh, but here I laughed too little, and the romantic storyline, which I wasn't really interested in, stood out even more. ()

Somebody's Been Reading Dante's Inferno (2019) (S04E02)

English If I rated the previous part with three pieces, I had to logically go one star down this time. I didn't enjoy the investigation too much, the humor should have a bit more punch for it to be noticed at all, and the centerpiece of everything should be the messing around in the relationship/non-relationship. And that plotline with the exorcist... ()

O, Ye Of Little Faith, Father (2019) (S04E03)

English The third episode was the first one in the fourth season that I really enjoyed, and if it weren't for the emotional ending, I would rate it with four stars. This time, I finally saw an investigation that didn't bore me, there were even some jokes, and the creators even managed to justify the presence of an exorcist in my opinion. 3*+ ()

All About Eve (2019) (S04E04)

English In the fourth episode, I enjoyed myself the most so far (in terms of the fourth season). Eva's character pleasantly revived the plot, the investigation didn't try to put me to sleep, and I could laugh enough. The best scenes for me were Linda's ultrasound together with the bar fight. ()

Expire Erect (2019) (S04E05)

English "Lucifer's last participation in the investigation had quite some grace, and I have to repeat that the creators have done a great job with Eve - she is enthusiastic about anything exciting (from sex to some law breaking), and yet she constantly gave me the feeling that if I shined a flashlight in her ear, her eyes would light up. I could laugh and I definitely wasn't bored, exactly what I expect from this series." ()

Orgy Pants to Work (2019) (S04E06)

English To be honest, the arrival of another angelic being on Earth didn't exactly fill me with enthusiasm. Luckily, the creators added some humor, which improved my mood, but I still found the constant attempts at a touchingly romantic style annoying. These scenes would fit much better in a completely different genre. 4* ()

Devil Is as Devil Does (2019) (S04E07)

English I rate the seventh episode basically the same as the previous one, true, the humor noticeably decreased, but at least Daniel's guerrilla language caught my attention, which brought an interesting impulse to the story. In any case, it is true that I nostalgically remember the first and second seasons. 4* ()

Super Bad Boyfriend (2019) (S04E08)

English I have already written about how I dislike the shift from an undemanding, entertaining style to annoying practices, which telenovelas are mainly known for. However, I did not expect myself to watch another black agitation instead of Lucifer. Where do the world's largest democrats make a mistake when they have to address the problems of suffering minorities in every American movie or series? I would not have written it the same way as eaglestar, but I cannot disagree with him. ()

Save Lucifer (2019) (S04E09)

English This was a pleasant change compared to the previous part, instead of a fair fight of oppressed minorities against a fascist police, the story returned to the right track, and it was immediately about something different. The previous episode completely annoyed me, but with this one, I had a good time again. ()

Who's da New King of Hell? (2019) (S04E10)

English Well, well, once again I obviously found myself in the minority with my assessment, but as usual, I couldn't care less. It would be hard for me to sigh with enthusiasm when it was basically a soap opera from an unconventional setting. It's just that cliché: "I love you, but I have to go." appeared here twice (although it was a bit disguised with Eva), and that's a little too much for fifty-six minutes. ()
