Drac's pack is back for an all-new monster comedy adventure in Sony Pictures Animation's Hotel Transylvania 2! Everything seems to be changing for the better at Hotel Transylvania... Dracula's rigid monster-only hotel policy has finally relaxed, opening up its doors to human guests. But behind closed coffins, Drac is worried that his adorable half-human, half-vampire grandson, Dennis, isn't showing signs of being a vampire. So while Mavis is busy visiting her human in-laws with Johnny – and in for a major cultural shock of her own – "Vampa" Drac enlists his friends Frank, Murray, Wayne and Griffin to put Dennis through a "monster-in-training" boot camp. But little do they know that Drac's grumpy and very old, old, old school dad Vlad is about to pay a family visit to the hotel. And when Vlad finds out that his great-grandson is not a pure blood – and humans are now welcome at Hotel Transylvania – things are going to get batty! (Sony Pictures)

English I admit that I haven’t seen the first installment after watching the second one. I gave it a chance shortly after watching Big Hero 6 and I was slightly disappointed by the way modern filmmakers try to appeal to small children. But Hotel Transylvania 2 is on a completely different level. I feel like it does not have to try get children to like it.The children will like it on their own. And even though it has a great deal of ideas and innuendos that will be noticed mostly by adults, I believe the kids will take a liking to it anyway. It is cute, colorful, and somebody falls on their face every other minute, which in and of itself is pleasing to the childʼs eye. If you ask me, itʼs definitely good. Adam Sandler put his humor into an animated movie and even though the script is similar to the second installment of The Addams Family, I am satisfied as a result. ()

English I liked the second part the most. The animation doesn't completely take your breath away, but the setting of the castle with monsters and the humour work (with lots of horror references that I enjoyed). It’s very entertaining and the story is also fine. Decent. 8/10. ()

English Though the final act falls into a shoddy and rather incomprehensible rip-off of a bunch of other family cartoons, the film maintains its high standards without trouble. The first half, at least, is so entertaining that it almost beats the entire first part. The creators work with an straightforward and punchy story, and listening to Adam Sandler as a lisping old-school vampire is still great. What's more, all the supporting characters are excellent, the jokes don't slip into childishness and there’s little else to say about the quality of the animation, I would welcome the next film with open arms... 80% ()

English I regret that I gave the first part only 60% because I believe it deserves more. This is a fun animated film that is really intended for the whole family, even with some rougher scenes present. However, as it is animated, it sounds nice. I love Sandler's humor and here he entertained me once again. ()
