Two-time Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner ("The Bourne Legacy") leads an all-star cast in a dramatic thriller based on the remarkable true story of Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Gary Webb. Webb stumbles onto a story which leads to the shady origins of the men who started the crack epidemic on the nation's streets...and further alleges that the CIA was aware of major dealers who were smuggling cocaine into the U.S., and using the profits to arm rebels fighting in Nicaragua. Despite warnings from drug kingpins and CIA operatives to stop his investigation, Webb keeps digging to uncover a conspiracy with explosive implications. His journey takes him from the prisons of California to the villages of Nicaragua to the highest corridors of power in Washington, D.C. – and draws the kind of attention that threatens not just his career, but his family and his life. English Feeble directing spoils an interesting plot, it’s like Cuesta is just shooting another episode of Homeland, but the Messenger has definitely a lot to say. It slightly touched on almost the same problem as my bachelor’s thesis. It touched on almost the same problem as my bachelor’s thesis, Webb basically warned the CIA of the danger of the Internet as a means for spreading unpleasant information, but those who don’t know anything about this will be gobsmacked. Or fall asleep. Nicaragua was pretty filthy mess and terrorists wearing stars and stripes are something the world has got used to. A great film and Renner was excellent. ()

English This story is interesting in itself. The effort of a person to fight for the truth, while realizing that it is really like fighting against windmills and it can have very tragic consequences. If only the delivery wasn't so dreadfully boring and if Jeremy Renner didn't try so hard. His character becomes annoying and the essence of the story fades away. ()
