Jonathas, with his parents and older brother, have quite a monotonous life which is centred on agriculture. He picks fruit in the morning, then learns about it at school, and sells it in the family stall by the road in the afternoon. Tourists, on their ways to adventures in the jungle, bring the only entertainment and contact with the outside world. Understandably, he cannot refuse the tempting offer of weekend camping, which turns into the biggest life tribulation he has ever had to face. The tone of Sergio Andrade's feature debut refers to the Latin American tradition of magic realism, governed by elements of mystically unrestricted nature and ancient rituals. (Febiofest)
