Dennis is a no-nonsense, recently released ex-con trying to get his life - and his wife - back. Rene is Dennis's charming, shallow, former partner-in-crime who is now living with Dennis's estranged wife. Feeling guilty and knowing Dennis needs a job, Rene reluctantly agrees to make Dennis a partner in the scheme. Though the two former friends struggle with each other and an eclectic array of tough New York customers, they discover much about themselves in the process. (HBO Europe)

English A pseudo Christmas movie that wants to take a slightly different path and tries to be less joyful. Throughout most of the film, we follow two buffoons trying to sell Christmas trees, two criminals each attempting to make things right in their own way. Paul Rudd is not annoying once again, this time it's Giamatti who manages to draw all the negative attention to himself. There are moments here that tend to become powerful, but in the end, you will still feel like the movie is about nothing. Long live the magic of Christmas! ()
