Plots(1)

Ten-year-old Sascha and his family live on an estate on the outskirts of town. Sascha's bad behavior often creates tense situations at home. He is in the habit of stealing, lying, he's short-tempered and refuses to abide by any agreements. But when it looks like he's going to fail school altogether, his mother seeks help. When a social worker prescribes him pills for ADHD, it seems to work wonders: things are soon fine again at school and the police no longer visit their home. But Sascha is now so calm and obedient that even his long-suffering Mum becomes somewhat suspicious. Something is missing. Elli manages to put her finger on what it is: she's noticed that her friend is no longer able to laugh. (Zlín Film Festival)
