Surviving Jack

Father knows best ... well, sort of... In this comedy series a man becomes a dad, and his son becomes a man, in the 1990s - before "coming of age" was something you could Google. Christopher Meloni stars as Jack Dunlevy, an ex-military oncologist who went to work early, came home late and rarely saw his family. But now that his wife, Joanne, is returning to law school, Jack's becoming a full-time parent for the first time. With his 15-year-old son, Frankie, just starting high school and not entirely sure of himself, Jack is there to pick up the pieces and guide him to manhood -- with the least gentle hand possible. Even more alien to Jack is his gorgeous and super smart 17 year old daughter, Rachel -- whose mind is firmly beyond his (or anyone's) comprehension. In addition to his own kids, Jack keeps a watchful eye on Frankie's best friends, George and Mikey. Only time will tell if Jack's unorthodox parenting will keep his kids out of trouble, but for someone used to taking care of people with cancer, how hard could it be? Jack's got this...right?
