Notorious gunfighter Hud Dixon (Johnny Hallyday) arrives in Blackstone, a town where his brother was wrongfully accused of robbing a bank and lynched for it. The Specialists is far from the quality of Django, A Professional Gun or The Great Silence by the same director. The shootouts are great and the bar fight is great, but the story is not great. I always thought the film should build up towards the end rather than become more and more stale... Well, I guess Sergio Corbucci had a slightly different opinion this time. That’s too bad.
