In this supernatural political thriller, a hypnotic faith healer Wolfe (Robert Powell in the title role), saves the life of the son of a wealthy government senator (David Hemmings) being groomed for power before both the senator and his wife (Carmen Duncan) fall prey to the enigmatic Harlequin's spellbinding powers of manipulation. For the first time in a long time, Harlequin introduced me to a truly captivating villain who is also so charming that at times you don't even know if he's really the villain. The special effects scenes are a bit lacking in places, but it turns out that they simply work in this film. I really enjoyed the plot of Harlequin and Robert Powell showed us his mastery to the fullest.
