English I really like Moon, so I only started watching the series because of her, and Kim Bum was just kind of icing on the cake. Unfortunately Moon didn't show me anything new, all her movements, expressions, the way she used her voice... I've seen/heard it all from her before. Which is fine, because she’s not a bad actress; but I'm still a little disappointed. Kim Bum, on the other hand, showed something new that I was quite pleased with (I'm referring to episode 22: finally a character with injuries that were more than just ketchup and make-believe). I was looking forward to them making vases, and I expected it would be rather peaceful and the heroine wouldn’t be a nag. Nope. Granted, they do make something, but there are way too few of those scenes for her to want to be the best. There were about two or three scenes in the whole thing that I really liked (they were calmly making pottery and had nice music playing), but otherwise it's historical pathos stuffed with weird fluff, made all the more pathetic by the overly nice main character and her spear carrier makeshift big brother. There are plenty of twists and cliffhangers, but it's all just too crazy, overwrought, and moronic for my taste. In the beginning I watched it mostly for the music that started playing when the episode ended, it was really amazing. Only it didn't even last a third of the series, they replaced it with something else that isn't even worth listening to because of its shallowness. :-( That was probably the biggest blow to the show for me. Some wrongdoing, skullduggery, injustice, murders, ... just not interested, but the change of music ticked me off. So I guess that's how much the show has captured my interest. A very weak 2 stars.
