Newly divorced journalist Dicte Svendsen (IBEN HJEJLE) has returned with daughter Rose to her hometown of Aarhus where she is trying to escape the past and build a new future. But working as a crime reporter, she soon finds herself caught up in a case that is destined to open old wounds when she discovers the body of a murdered young woman. Brash, quick-witted, and not afraid to put herself in danger, she will do what it takes to uncover the truth, throwing herself into each investigation, jeopardising not only her life, but sometimes the lives of those around her. English The first season was slower to get going, and I had to get used to the main characters, but in the end, it was pretty good. The second season was much more watchable, and there were some humorous moments, so I had decent fun with it. Thanks to the upward development, I was looking forward to the third season, but after two episodes ending with the violent death of the policeman Vagner, whom Dicte had been pressing with her stubbornness in the fight against crime all along, the plot started to take a strange direction. Instead of criminal cases, exclusively personal problems of individual characters were addressed, which felt like one big tangled mess. If the creators had stuck to just two seasons, they would have done better. ()
