Sense8 (2015)

English 1st season – 80% – For some time I was deterred by the feeling that this was a peaceful message in both the first and second layers and that I would not experience anything world-changing in terms of plot. But as time went on, and the action or love scenes became more and more thorough in their choreography, the intensity increased to such an extent that I held my favorite characters (Riley, Wolfgang) in my heart with a grip so intense it was almost painful. And the message won me over completely in the packed finale, maybe even more than anticipated. For skeptics, it may be unwatchable, but for more open-minded individuals, this could easily be number one. Happy F*cking New Year – 100% – The apex. Along with the finale of the first season, this is definitive proof that there is a truly genius idea behind Sense8. It doesn't matter if the story mythology deepens with almost supernatural truths or if I can admire the increasingly demanding action or intense clusterfucks. This New Year's gift was a treasure for fans and its only flaw is that the series will no longer be able to surpass this maximum. 2nd season – 90% – More balanced in quality, more expansive in terms of set design and number of characters, and also better because I can be on the same wavelength as the cluster from the very beginning. Understandably, not every storyline can compete with the intensity and seriousness of the fight against the main enemy or with Wolfgang's action scenes, but characters like Sun or Lito, who were initially somewhat neglected, are now pushing to the forefront in terms of popularity. It's a great shame that they were cut short by the Netflix team. Though a final film could answer all the important questions (and it did), the momentum aimed at future seasons is evident. Amor Vincit Omnia – 80% – A bit uneven due to its murderous running time, but all is forgiven considering the overall impressions. Half of the storylines and twists are pure fan service, while the other half is smaller creative self-indulgence and a test for the viewer to see how much they can take in a single "episode". Considering how much Sense8 values peace, I accept even what might bother me in another production. Such innocently loving series are needed and will always be needed in any era. Love is everything. Accept it. ()
