The Egyptian revolution showed the strength of social networks. Instead of showing footage from the streets, however, this experimental film offers a visually meticulous look inside a government institution. Static shots from inside the Al-Ahram newspaper are accompanied by the voice of a fictional photojournalist talking about the fear of the image and the way it and the public are manipulated.
Snapshots come to life to show the mechanism behind the making of a newspaper; the voice-over talks about the revolution, about the sound of tear-gas canisters, and about how Al-Ahramu did not write about the things going on outside. The presses turn indifferently as the hospitals fill with people. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
