In order to work as a nurse, Zinat became the first woman from the Island of Qeshm in southern Iran to remove the traditional veil (Boregheh) worn in this region. She later goes on to become the director of the village health clinic. On 26 February 1999, she is elected to local office.
It is forbidden to film in public on election day. The home recording sways between positive and negative reactions to the subject of a woman’s place in Iranian society. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
