The Liar and His Lover

When you watch a movie, you never know if it's going to be another ordinary movie or one of your favorites. And this is the latter. I don't seek out Japanese movies that much, but I was drawn to this one as soon as I heard about it. Partly because of the title, partly because of the poster, the fact that it's based on a manga, and mostly because it has good Czech subtitles. Takeru Sató is the first Japanese man who has completely enchanted me and I have a deep need to see him in something else. The story is wonderful, sweet, charming, and full of beautiful music. For me, the best thing I've seen from Japan yet. 5 stars. (08/13/2014)
