In his film Visa Koiso-Kanttila studies his relationship with his father. Or, judging by the intensity of the project, he rather is determined to settle it, once and for all. The film goes through childhood memories, especially the darker ones. The purpose is to make the father understand and admit those traumatic recollections. The father-relationship is examined also the other way round: the director's own son has an important role in the film. The risks and the problems of making the documentary are part of this work. The director guides his father how to talk about their personal relationship. Throughout the film the father fears he is going to be left as a defendant as he is not in the position of the filmmaker. Interestingly, he also counterattacks instead of just making his own points of view.
