Young director Isabell Šuba thought she had made it: one of her short films is shown in Cannes at the biggest film festival. But instead of the red carpet only her chauvinistic producer David awaits her. Next disappointment: not one film in the official selection has been directed by a woman! More out of need than of pleasure, Isabell and her producer try to find investors for her new project, without success. Isabell faces reality: David's misogynistic attitude is not an exception, in Cannes the rule remains "Men show films & women their breasts." This film was a real life experiment: director Šuba turned her 2012 invitation to Cannes into a new film project. During the entire filmfestival Šuba lent her own identity to actress Anne Haug and filmed what happened. It was shot over five days without a budget. Time for new female figures à la Isabell Šuba: talented, confident and brave. (Berlinale)
